Who is HARC?

HARC is a non-profit charitable corporation [501(c)(3)] whose purpose is to provide care for children and young adults with special needs, as well as their families. HARC was developed in 2004, and is housed on the campus of Gethsemane United Methodist Church, and at the Down Syndrome Association of Houston Resource Center. HARC supports children with various diagnosis and their families through a Parent's Night Out program every Friday evening, as well as other programs.


HARC's Purpose Statement

"The corporation (HARC) is organized exclusively for charitable purposes. Our corporation exists to provide support to young individuals, and the families and caregivers of those individuals in the metropolitan area of Houston, Texas, that face problems associated with some personal level of mental health or mental retardation challenges."
